Creative Writing Contest At Yamhill-Carlton

The YC newspaper has organized a writing contest, promoting friendly competition and creativity. Trying to bring the feeling of success and empowerment to the students of YC through writing.

To participate in the contest, fill out the information form that will be linked below, and write your story. Voting will take place later on, but the link to the voting form is also listed below with the information form.

Story Requirements: 500-1,000 words, proper spelling and grammar, school appropriate, following the guidelines of the YCHS Student Handbook, must include the assigned theme, only submit ONE story and lastly, be creative and have fun.

Theme: It’s spooky season so include anything Halloween related into your story.

Deadlines: Story submissions will be accepted Nov.4th-18th
Votes will be accepted Nov.22nd-29th

If a story breaks YCHS Student Handbook guidelines, it may be reported. If two or more stories are submitted by one person, only one story will be taken into account and the rest will be discarded.
