“What I love, that you guys like, literally… you go all out…food wise. You like, cook so many different things. And I love food. So I’m gonna love Thanksgiving, that’s for sure.”
Karakash likes the idea of Thanksgiving, and told how she’d like for it to happen in Bulgaria. She talked of lots of food, quality time, some competitions, and overall a good time with family and friends.
In Bulgaria, there’s one holiday that is celebrated in the month of November and it’s Day of the Bulgarian National Revival Leaders (also known as Enlightener’s Day). Most of November and December is dedicated to preparing for Christmas.
When asked, Karakash said, “We literally have nothing in November. Everything is in December.” She told of how Bulgaria takes Christmas very seriously, lots of it due to religion.
Most Bulgarians travel and visit family during Christmastime.
During the interview, Karakash talked of making Thanksgiving a holiday in Bulgaria. She wished for family and friends to gather, spend quality time together, have competitions held, and overall have a good time.
“I would definitely do Friendsgiving. I feel like I would even like Friendsgiving more, because I’m gonna get to do all that fun stuff with all my friends,” Karakash said. She also talked of playing lots of food based games and all having fun together.
She mentioned that if she had the chance to make Thanksgiving a Bulgarian holiday, she would make it big, wild, and fun. She would have lots of food involved and have families and friends spend time together. She wants everyone to have a good time during a Thanksgiving in Bulgaria.
