The YC Journal  is a member of OJEA/NWSP.

The YC Journal staff works to provide stories and news covering all aspects of life at Yamhill Carlton High School, which is located in Yamhill, Oregon.

We are a student-run publication of the Journalism class. Our priorities are to produce quality journalism from our perspective as students, and to shine a light on many different parts of the YC community.

Opinions expressed in The YC Journal are not always that of the staff. Signed columns and Letters to the Editor represent the view of the writer. Letters to the Editor are strongly encouraged as part of The YC Journal’s  open forum policy. Letters will be printed as written as long as they fit with the school policy and/or conform to the space available. The editor may make grammar changes. Letters must be less than 300 words and signed. Names will be withheld upon request and explanation. There is no guarantee of publication. Deliver letters to Mrs. Henry’s box in the mail room at the high school.
