Homegoing, Time to say Goodbye to our Seniors

During YCHS homegoing week the new ASB activities directors and tech crew got a chance to practice their new duties. Sophomore, Dylan Mc Innis, along with Alyia Siebel, got the opportunity to plan their own set of events and dress up days.

The dress up days were, USA, Tacky Tourist, Western, Hawaiian, and Beach Safety. In addition to the dress up days Mc Innis, and Siebel planned some games during lunch; for USA day they planned a hula hoop contest. Tacky Tourist day, was a huge mannequin challenge, And on Wednesday there was a roping contest. There were many winners as there was a few rounds, and the winners received a candy bar.

Seniors won the senior versus staff softball game 3-0, during advisory on the 22nd of May. During the game Mc Innis and Siebel played music and switched off their announcers throughout the game.

A senior assembly was held out in front of the YCHS football stadium on the 24th. Where games were played and spirit points awarded. At the end of the assembly all the staff members threw water balloons into the stands.

Freshman Kierrah Knapp said, “The best part about it was seeing everyone’s outfits and all the fun challenges”.

Mc Innis said, “The best part was being able to plan it.”

Mc Innis also said he is planning for next year to have more advertisement and more materials to make the upcoming spirit weeks better.
