The YCHS track and field team has had a very successful season this year. Forty-one of their athletes placed in districts and sixteen of these competitors went on to compete in state. Senior Sadie Horne placed first in discus with a PR of 131’5″. Horne was very happy that she won first place and when asked how it made her feel she said, “It made me feel very good.” Head coach Tracie Looney was very happy with this season. When asked how she felt the season went she responded, “This season was good. This group of athletes was a determined and responsible group and out of 50 of them almost all showed up to every single practice and tried their hardest.”
