As many people may already be aware Stan Lee, the creator of Marvel Comics and many of our beloved heroes, passed away, November 12th 2018. Stan Lee believed that heroes are heroes because they went above and beyond the call of duty. He believed that they went the extra step for the greater good. Stan Lee has stated this at multiple interviews and multiple comic-cons but these words stick and hold true through and through. He inspired thousands of people and influenced and touched the hearts of people he never even met.

“I’ve been the luckiest man in the world because I have friends,” Stated Stan Lee at a press event. Stan Lee is someone many may know for his hilarious cameos in Marvel films and we always looked forward to them. He always brought a smile to our faces as we watched another great film. But Stan Lee wasn’t alone, he was a man who believed in his friends. Steve Ditko, the co-creator of Spider-Man passed away earlier this year. Though the two had many disputes about who was the true creator of the character, we all thank the two masterminds for their amazing accomplishments.

Comic book creators and comic fans all mourn the death of a true legend. “I thanked him for being a visionary, not just creatively, but being a visionary in bringing Marvel to Hollywood,” writes Rob Liefeld, the creator of Deadpool, in an Instagram post. Many were touched by Stan “the man” Lee. He was a genius in outsmarting the comics code and bringing a smile to the face of comic readers at the time. He still is a visionary after his death.

“How many millions of us are indebted to this guy, none more so than me,” Writes Tom Holland, the current Spider-Man, writes in an Instagram post. Many are indebted to Stan Lee. He’s brought us stories and characters we all love. He’s brought role models we all want to be. He knows all of us are really people and have always wanted someone to relate to.

Stan Lee passed away at the age of 95. He passed away peacefully after living a long, happy life. Excelsior Stan Lee. May you Rest In Peace.
