Cross Country:
Cross Country had an amazing season this year coached by Rylan Larsen. They sent a full boys team to state for the first time in 26 years. And for the first time in 24 years they had an athlete place 8th in the state. They also ended placing 6th overall as a team in state in the 3A- special district two. On top of all of that the boys also won the Vernonia Invitational this year and were able to bring home some hardware. The girls also had a great season improving times and for the first time in a long time they had 4 girls on the team.
Football:
Varsity football coached by Brad McKechnie has a great season. Continuing the trend they made it to the first round of playoffs. Although they didn’t win and continue on they still had overall a great season with an overall record of 7-3. Their league record was solid as well with a 5-1 season. On top of that they ended up being ranked 10th overall in the 3A- Special District One.
Volleyball:
Varsity volleyball coached by Jess McGraw had a very strong season. This year they made it to the second round of playoffs. They had an overall record of 14-8. Paired with an outstanding league record of 10-2. Plus on top of all of that they also ended the season being ranked 12th in the 3A-2 Coastal Range League which consists of 6 other teams. In the 3A-2 Coastal Range bracket they were able to secure an outstanding second place.
Boys Soccer:
Varsity boys soccer coached by Jon Briggs had a great season improving day by day as a team. With a final overall record of 1-9-3 they placed 55th overall in 3A/2A/1A- Special District 2. They also ended the year with a league record of 1-5-1. All in all, a great season with lots of improvement and fun times.
Girls Soccer:
Varsity girls soccer had an outstanding season coached by Mike Fetch. They ended the season with a solid overall record of 10-7-1. They were ranked 20th in district 3A/2A/1A- Special District 2 and had a league record of 5-3. But that was not all they also made it to the second round of playoffs.
