Finishing Strong
As the 2017/18 school year is coming to a close, that means that graduation is just days away. The class of 2018 has definitely left their footprint over the last four years. Students are hearing back from colleges they have been accepted to, planning their college schedules, beginning finals, and much more leading up to June 10th. Senior, Sabrina Livingston has been accepted into college and knows what path she is going to pursue.. With so little time left in high school each senior is getting more and more antsy for what is to come next.
Livingston will be attending Corban University in the fall studying biology. Livingston has been interested in studying biology since November. Erin Sunday and Jenna Schaljo have been the YC staff members who have helped her over the last four years. The classes that Livington believes she will use the most outside of high school are biology and spanish. Portland State University, Portland Community College, Southern Oregon University, and Chemeketa Community College were Livingston’s other interests besides Corban.
Days leading up to graduation means that is it crunch time for all seniors to finish strong so they can partake in all the graduation fun that is planned. With just one week left of classes there is so much to do with so little time. After the seniors last day of school they will be going to Kah Nee Ta on the 6th, the senior assembly is on Friday the 8th, and then graduation is June 10th. The class of 2018 has been Principal Greg Neuman and Vice Principal Matt Wiles first four year class during their time at Yamhill Carlton High School. All students, not only the seniors should be finishing strong and implying Principal Neuman’s words of staying “On Time, On Task, and On a Mission” until the very end.
